The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School is pleased to announce the winners of the first Research Fellowship Awards funded by the CME Group Foundation.  The selection committee comprised of three eminent academic Research Council Members. When Monica Hanulik performs as Assistant Principal Oboist for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, she must consider tone, volume, clarity, pace, and harmonization with the entire orchestra. It is an entirely different way of thinking, understanding, and contributing to the music. She must then deliver her performance based on all these facets. It is this same complexity, subtlety, and pursuit of perfection that drew Monica to the Risk Management and Insurance program at the CU Denver Business School.  Read more

The Business Career Connections (BCC) Center at the CU Denver Business School is hard at work year round putting students in situations to succeed. Peter Howell, a Finance and Risk Management major officially became a senior last week, is one such student. The Business Fundamentals Minor at the CU Denver Business School was designed to give non- business students tools they would need in their given fields. These students can also take individual courses without completing the full program. One such student is Jeanell Taylor, a senior psychology major at CU Denver. A native of Chicago, Taylor chose to study at CU Denver because she wanted to go out-of-state for school.  Read more

An already strong relationship between the University of Colorado Denver and the nation of Qatar took a significant step forward last week with the visit of Prime Minister Abdulla Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani. The main reason for his visit was to celebrate the graduation of his son, Nasser Al Thani, who received his B.S. degree in Management and Human Resource Management from the CU Denver Business School.  Read more

With CU Denver’s Commencement Ceremony taking place this weekend at the new Tivoli Quad, expected graduates are gearing up to enter the workforce. One such student is Katy Cline, a Finance major with an emphasis in Management. Cline graduated Summa Cum Laude on Saturday. Katy chose to study at the CU Denver Business School when work brought her to Denver after starting her education at CU Boulder.  Read more
