Named the “Celtic Tiger” in the 1990s and persevering through the 2000’s Great Recession, Ireland has been a hub for genius and entrepreneurship. The rankings are based on a handful of factors, including average salary, employment rate and the cost of living. The Denver branch of the U.S. Commerce Department’s United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) officially opened June 30. To commemorate its opening, the Denver Public Library (DPL) is hosting an exhibit covering prolific inventor Steve Jobs. The exhibit, The Patents and Trademarks of Steve Jobs: Art and Technology that Changed the World, shows off 300 of the 317 patents issued to the late CEO of Apple.  Read more

University of Colorado Denver Business School Risk Management and Insurance students returned to Denver after studying abroad. Denver’s bounty of large, well-funded, close-to-home parks earned it seventh place in The Trust for Public Land’s annual ParkScore ranking, climbing from 17th in last year’s index. The rankings, released Thursday, scored the park systems in 60 U.S. cities. The trust’s park analysts weigh park access and the percentage of residents within a 10-minute walk of a park, as well as park size and the amount of city acreage dedicated to parks.  Read more

The critically-acclaimed business-themed show, Shark Tank, has the Sharks continuing the search to invest in the best businesses and products that America has to offer.
