John Bryd found his love of sustainability and the planet through his time outdoors before he started his academic career. He spent time backpacking, climbing, mountaineering, and rafting. “Most people who spend a lot of time in the wilderness become concerned about protection and preservation,” said Bryd. For Stanley Unruh, choosing the CU Denver Business School was a “no brainer.” In making his decision, he considered the value of the degree and CU Denver’s location in downtown Denver. He also knew he wanted to step away from what everyone else was doing in his small hometown. Carrie Hackenberger is a rising star in the petroleum industry. Actually, if we’re going to use a metaphor from astronomy, it might be more accurate to call her rise “meteoric.” After completing her bachelor’s degree in 2013, Carrie worked in sales operations for an industrial automation firm for about three years before switching industries and joining the Colorado Petroleum Council (part of the American Petroleum Institute [API]).  Read more

I’m an Associate Director in the Events and Logistics division serving the entire United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC).
