    Allison Wozniak MBA graduate shares her experience and how it led to her now successful career

    “I have always been a sports fan,” said Allison Wozniak, recalling her earliest memories of attending baseball games with her father. Throughout her childhood, Wozniak’s fondness for sports was ever-present and grew as she did, staying active from season to season with soccer, softball, and tennis. More than simply finding entertainment through watching and participating in games, Wozniak was struck by the atmosphere that sports were able to foster—especially amongst young people.  Read more

    Nestled between Mexico’s southern peninsula and Guatemala and located on the eastern coast of Central America lies Belize. The country is renowned for its natural beauty and vibrant culture. Belize also is the site for one of four exciting study abroad Maymester opportunities. Up to 14 graduate and undergraduate students at the CU Denver Business School will travel to the country’s capital city, Punta Gorda this spring.  Read more

  • RMI students earn prestigious NAPSLO internships

    For the second year in a row, a CU Denver RMI student has earned a coveted internship with the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd (NAPSLO). From an average of 200 applications, generally 12 students are selected to serve in the summer cohort. NAPSLO is the premier professional organization of wholesale brokers and carriers in the country.  Read more

  • A Celebration of Success: Alumna Jennifer Leitsch gives back

    Jennifer Leitsch is a dedicated alumna to the CU Denver Business School. Named to Denver Business Journal’s 40 under 40 in 2014, Jennifer has applied her MBA and Master of Science in Marketing degrees to their fullest. Currently, she is Director of Corporate Responsibility at CBRE, developing strategy and reporting around environmental, social, and governance initiatives.  Read more

  • Business students reflect on recent trip to Japan

    While some of us celebrated Fall Break by eating too much turkey on Thanksgiving, 20 talented CU Denver Business School students spent their time learning about the economy, history, and culture of a country located an ocean away. After having been awarded an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan from the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of the Kakehashi Project, several returning student participants reflected on their weeklong experience abroad.  Read more

  • CU team lands in top 10 in online global cybersecurity competition

    On Thursday Dec. 1, Adjunct Professor Yvette Connor and three graduate students participated in the Kaspersky Interactive Protection Simulation (KIPS), a live global competition between cybersecurity experts. Competing against over forty top security firms around the globe, the team placed eighth overall. The two hour-long roleplaying game is a rare opportunity for professionals to respond to realistic cyber-attacks.  Read more

  • A Celebration of Success: esteemed Business School student scholar Sofia Mazo

    Sofia Mazo, an undergraduate studying business management and sociology, was awarded the Esteemed Business Student Scholarship. As the most prestigious scholarship offered by the University of Colorado Denver Business School, the award is designed to attract the best and brightest graduating high school seniors and bring in talented students like Sofia from across the country.  Read more
