The winds of change sweeping the nation on Wednesday, Nov. 9, are nothing new to Josh Pollack. He’s seen plenty of shifts in the past year. His bagel store in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, which proved an immediate success upon opening two years ago, sustained a major setback last May when an early morning fire broke out in one of the apartments above the business. The blaze damaged the back two-thirds of Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen, forcing a lengthy closure for repairs.  Read more

Before beginning his studies at CU Denver, Travis Tung already had a promising career, holding several important positions in both the public and private sector. In the former role, he served as an accountant for the City and County of Denver’s Department of Human Services (DHS), where he oversaw the distribution, classification, and general reporting of specific government benefits extended to the department’s clients.  Read more

Kicking off the Business School Alumni Network’s Back to Business Speaker Series, Joshua Pollack, owner and founder of Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen, recently spoke to a group of more than 50 business alumni about his experience with creating business plans and securing financial funding during challenging economic times. Pollack cited his passion for food, and his yearning for east coast delicacies that were unavailable in Denver, as his personal motivation for opening Rosenberg’s Restaurant in 2014, named after his grandmother, and located on Welton Street in the Five Points neighborhood.  Read more

Gaurav Chandra is a Surgeon who just finished a Burn Surgery/Critical Care Fellowship in the University of Colorado Hospital prior to entering into the 11-Month MBA program at the CU Denver Business School. Chandra has worked as a Surgeon in North America, South Africa, and India for 15 years. Gaurav’s interest in the 11-Month MBA Program stemmed from his medical practice.  Read more

Her undergraduate degree was in Natural Sciences with an emphasis in Secondary Education. However, she determined shortly after student teaching that she was not destined to be an educator.
