Saturday, October 15, marks the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, a period of recognition of the legacy of the Hispanics and celebration of the Hispanic culture in the United States. CU Denver is proud to have a diverse community composed, among many others, of Latinx individuals.

Transformative leadership is what drives an organization forward and beyond. Yet, many people have a hard time breaking their own limits and struggle in leadership positions due to self-limiting issues like Imposter syndrome and emotional illiteracy. These are often hindrances to leaders’ breakthroughs; though pervasive, many leaders can feel alone in their struggles. Read more
The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) announced the winners of the 2021 Elijah Watt Sells Award this May, an award given to CPA candidates scoring a cumulative average above 95.5 across all four sections of the CPA exam during their first attempts. More than 72,000 people took the CPA Exam in 2021, and only 57 candidates met the award criteria. University of Colorado Denver Business School alumnus Dylan Croom, BSBA ’19, MS ’20 is one of them. During the last week of April, more than 60 attendees returned in-person to the CU Denver Business School’s Jake Jabs Event Center for the 21st year of THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition. The two-night event featured live pitch presentations, keynote speakers, a distinguished panel of judges, and networking opportunities open to the entire Denver community. Read more

In the time of COVID-19, travel has become significantly difficult for many individuals and nearly impossible for school programs globally. Study abroad programs around the world scrambled for the past two years to make it possible for students to learn internationally with little to no luck. Fortunately, CU Denver rose to the challenge and kept the One Year MBA international component active by making it possible for 23 students and their program coordinators to travel aboard. Read more
