Jim Reuter, CEO of First Bank, joined students at CU Denver’s Business School for a night of conversation and networking on Feb. 9 at the Jake Jabs Center. During the conversation, Jim shared insight on how to lead in a constantly changing world and ways to navigate companies to success. When asked about leadership planning strategies, Jim said that great leaders plan out clear strategies and objectives to reach defined business goals.  Read more

Each semester, Professor Roger Ritvo assigns a Service-Learning Project to students getting an MBA in his Leading Individuals and Teams course. As part of the course, students are asked to identify a local organization to arrange a hands-on service project for and then share their accomplishments in an end of semester presentation. The practical application of this project encourages students to engage the community through fundraising, and reinforces concepts learned and discussed in the course and the textbook.  Read more

As graduation approaches, two undergraduate and two graduate students were awarded the CU Denver Business School’s Outstanding Student Award. This award is handed out each semester to four students, nominated by professors, for displaying exceptional resilience and drive while earning their degrees.  Read more

Each fall, the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship hosts Colorado’s most prominent business leaders as part of the Best of Colorado Speaker Series. The series included ten organization leaders and creators from a variety of industry backgrounds.

During these sessions, entrepreneurs shared how and why they started their company, the steps they have taken to develop success, and advice on ways to establish both the ideas and footings needed to be a business owner.  Read more

Financial management student Rohan Nipunge diversifies his skillset by participating in over five school clubs, as well as double majoring in Risk Management with a specialization in Information Systems. Rohan is especially interested in the automotive industry and has been working at BMW with Ralph Schomp since he was 17 years old. This role solidified his passion for the business and helped him choose his majors.  Read more

The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Collegiate Program (DFEI) at the University of Colorado Denver Business School announces Kellye Gordon, Vice President, Ethics & Compliance and Legal Operations at VF Corporation, as the 2021 Bill Daniels Ethical Leader of the Year. Kellye Gordon is being recognized for her hard work in ethics for VF Corporation, which currently employees over 30,000 people.  Read more
